I strive for sessions to feel direct and understandable. I describe myself as warm and down to earth with a good sense of humor. My goal is for sessions to be a space where you can converse and just be yourself.
Typically we begin our work together on what you might imagine changing, and what you hope for in the future. I like to collaborate in making goals and adapt them as we go along.
I primarily work from a narrative and internal family systems perspective and also often utilize solution-focused and CBT skills to help progress forward. I seek to build understanding about the past and how it might be impacting your life now. My hope is to help you bringing awareness of your internal dialogue and recognizing that each part of you is valuable and important.
I currently work with adults and teens. I have an office based out of Kemptville and I offer in-person, virtual over a secure platform, and nature-based “walk and talk” options.

I grew up in the Ottawa Valley on a farm and learned from a young age to work hard and care for the things around me. My first passion in life was helping animals that were lost or neglected and I began to develop a strong sense of empathy and compassion for helping others that I’ve since carried into my professional career.
I completed my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Palo Alto University and am now a registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CPRO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I’ve completed training with a focus on Narrative therapy, Internal Family systems, Animal and Nature-based alternative therapies, Somatic Processing, and CBT for Anxiety and depression.
In the past I’ve worked for a variety of community based and non-profit organizations that have focused on substance use, addictions, trauma, grief, and stress management. These programs involved doing individual counseling, group facilitation, and education based workshops. I am passionate about breaking the stigma related to mental health and the symptoms that may come from it. My hope is to create a space for you that feels warm, compassionate, and helpful. I hold myself to a high standard to ensure that I do my very best for you as we work towards your goals.
